The call for entries for the AHR Expo (International Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigerating Exposition) 2024 Innovation Awards is now open. Entries will be accepted until July 25, 2023. The annual competition seeks to honour the most innovative and original products, systems, and technologies to be featured on the floor of Chicago’s McCormick Place on January 22-24, 2024. THE 2024 INNOVATION AWARDS & PRODUCT OF THE YEAR
The Innovation Awards, which debuted in 2003, provide a chance to recognise those in the business who are pushing boundaries to provide new solutions to existing and emerging difficulties. Furthermore, they recognise the most imaginative, beneficial, and unique products, systems, and technology currently revolutionising the HVACR sector.
Building automation, cooling, heating, indoor air quality, plumbing, refrigeration, software, sustainable solutions, tools and equipment, and ventilation are among the 10 industry categories from which winners are chosen. Entrants are judged by a panel of third-party judges chosen by ASHRAE for their knowledge and experience in their field. Scores are tallied, and winners and finalists who exhibit the greatest levels of original design, creativity, application and performance, product and solution value, and market impact are recognised.
In addition to category winners, the presentation will announce and honour one overall Product of the Year winner. This coveted award is given in recognition of remarkable leadership in HVACR innovation.

Winners will be invited to a special reception in Chicago when their award will be presented. Winners and finalists will also be recognised in print and online pieces showcasing the Innovation Awards in major industry magazines, on the AHR Expo website, and throughout all AHR Expo social media channels.
JUDGING & SUBMISSIONS
All confirmed 2024 AHR Expo exhibitors are eligible to enter the Innovation Awards and may submit one product in each category. If a product has previously won a category, it will not be considered again. Products must be displayed at the 2024 show and available for purchase by the end of February 2024 in order to be eligible. Completed entry forms and a non-refundable $150 entry fee must be submitted by July 25, 2023.
AHR EXPO’S WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME IS SUPPORTED BY ENTRY FEES.
Entry fees for the 2024 Innovation Awards (about $25,000) will benefit AHR Expo’s Workforce Development initiative, which will be implemented in collaboration with a Chicago-area HVAC student training programme to boost the industry’s future.
