Semiya Payasam
Ingredients:
- semiya – 1 cup
- Milk – 1 litre
- Sugar – ¾ cup or to taste
- Ghee – to fry
- Cashew nuts – 2 tbsp
- Raisins – 1 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
Preparation:
- Fry cashew nuts and raisins in ghee.
- Fry vermicelli in ghee, until golden brown and keep it aside.
- Boil the milk.
- Add fried vermicelli and cook for 8 – 10 mins.
- Add sugar, fried raisins, fried cashewnuts and cardamom powder and mix well.
- Boil for 2 – 3 mins. Serve hot or cold.
