Networking Cube: An Innovative Centre for Exchange and Connectivity
Wilo inaugurated the new Networking Cube with a grand opening ceremony.

“The Networking Cube is a perfect example of the Connecting aspect of our overarching, Group-wide sustainability strategy”, says Oliver Hermes, President & CEO of the Wilo Group. “We firmly believe in the power of strong networks. As such, we’re particularly pleased with the level of internal and external interest in the Networking Cube.” An AI and sustainability conference, and a procurement conference will soon be held in the new building, for example. “The Networking Cube will be a place to exchange knowledge, forge and deepen partnerships, and thus make a sustainable difference”, Wilo CEO Hermes continues.

The Networking Cube boasts a 191-square-metre LED wall made up of over 50 million pixels, which surrounds the atrium on the ground floor of the building on three sides. Throughout the complex, visitors have access to numerous state-of-the-art meeting rooms and interaction areas. This also includes the so-called White Room on the roof, which is surrounded by a green roof terrace. The green roof merges with the south façade of the Networking Cube, which is designed as a vertical garden. The cloakroom in the basement of the new market partner meeting centre is a symbolic reminder of the roots of the Wilo Group, which was founded in 1872: Guests store their jackets in containers that are lowered from the ceiling, resembling those found in pithead baths in coal mines.

The opening of the Networking Cube marks the completion of the penultimate building phase of the Wilopark construction project. The Health Cube is scheduled to open in 2026. Wilo employees worldwide and throughout the entire Dortmund region will benefit from this innovative Wilo health centre. Once construction work is complete, the approximately 200,000-square-metre Wilopark will comprise five main buildings: the Smart Factory, the Pioneer Cube administration building, the Innovation Cube research and development centre, the Networking Cube, and the Health Cube. In total, Wilo has invested over 400 million euros in the development of the site
