The Basketball India League (BIL) is India’s professional basketball league. Established in 2021, it is organized by the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) in collaboration with the Indian Basketball Players Association (IBPA). The league consists of his eight teams representing different cities in India and runs from January to April every year. The BIL follows a round-robin format, followed by playoffs and finals to determine the winning team.  BIL aims to promote and promote the sport of basketball in India and provide a platform for Indian players to showcase their skills and compete with the best players  around the world. The league is supported by companies and contributes to the popularization of the sport in India.  BIL has been well received by fans and  credited with reviving the sport of basketball in India.
