In total, the revenue for 2024 reached DKK 1,704 million, a 13% decline over 2023, driven by the expected downturn in BWMS. This resulted in earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of DKK 176 million, compared to DKK 243 million in the previous year.
“We are pleased to report strong results in line with expectations and in our core business areas—Flow Technology for Marine, Industry, Defense, and Aquaculture applications as well environmental response and pollution clean-up solutions for oil spill, seaweed & clean waterways—and to see significant progress in our newly established New Green Solutions business area,” says Humphrey Lau, Group CEO of DESMI. “This performance is a testament of the ongoing dedication and expertise of our global team of more than 1,000 employees, as well as of the trust of our global customers.”
While 2024 marked the celebration of DESMI’s 190th anniversary, the year also saw the company advancing under its new strategy, focused on organic and acquisitive growth within Flow Technology. This strategy is designed to ensure the continued success and sustainability of both DESMI and our customers—true to the company’s purpose: “Make life flow.”
In line with our ambition, DESMI announced the acquisition of Nordan Marine in February 2025, a trusted partner in the maritime sector. The acquisition strengthens our position and supports our growth strategy. Nordan Marine specializes in service and repair solutions for cargo and fuel handling systems, including those used for LPG, LEG carriers, as well as LNG and alternative fuel-capable vessels.
