Diaphragm Pumps

  5. Suction and Discharge Ports: Diaphragm pumps have dedicated suction and discharge ports for fluid entry and exit. These ports are connected to the respective inlet and outlet valves.
  6. Sealing Mechanism: Diaphragm pumps require effective sealing to prevent fluid leakage. The diaphragm itself acts as a seal against the pump housing, and additional seals may be used around the valves and ports to ensure proper sealing.

Diaphragm pumps are known for their versatility and ability to handle a wide range of fluids, including corrosive, abrasive, and viscous liquids, as well as slurries and solids-laden fluids. They offer several advantages, such as self-priming capabilities, the ability to run dry without damage, and the ability to handle variable flows and pressures.

Diaphragm pumps find applications in various industries, including chemical processing, wastewater treatment, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, mining, and oil and gas. They are particularly useful in situations where the pumping requirements involve sensitive or abrasive fluids, as they provide gentle and reliable fluid transfer.
