The main target group are operators of public and private line networks. The fields of activity of the IKT are primarily geared towards the questions and problems of the network operators. This results from the founding mission of the institute in 1994, namely to develop scientifically sound knowledge for an economical, technically innovative, environmentally friendly and citizen-friendly construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of pipeline networks. For companies from the industry, the IKT provides further assistance in testing and testing new products and processes.
