Jet Pumps

  5. Impeller or Diffuser: Some jet pumps may include an impeller or diffuser at the outlet to increase the pressure of the fluid before it exits the pump. This can be especially useful for boosting water pressure or transferring fluids to higher elevations.
  6. Drive Mechanism: Jet pumps are typically driven by an external power source, such as an electric motor or an engine. The drive mechanism provides the energy required to create the high-velocity fluid jet and operate the pump.

Jet pumps offer advantages such as simplicity, reliability, and the ability to operate without the need for a submerged motor or impeller. However, they are generally less efficient compared to other pump types and may require higher energy consumption.
