Job Summary:Flowserve is looking for an Application Engineer to join our Aftermarket Commercial Operations team in Corpus Christi, TX. In this role, you’ll support Aftermarket customers in the South Region while also serving as a backup for North America. Your technical expertise will focus on Pumps, Mechanical Seals, and Seal Support Systems, driving value through high-quality engineering solutions and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate, timely quotations for Seals and Systems in response to RFQs.
Interpret customer specifications, technical documents, and commercial terms including warranty, delivery, and payment.
Conduct seal failure analyses and generate detailed technical reports with actionable recommendations.
Provide first-level troubleshooting and technical support directly or through the sales channel.
Review customer POs, job specs, and generate corresponding engineering and manufacturing requirements.
Create technical proposals, draft sales orders, and support drawing/BOM development.
Ensure compliance with the Sales Approval Process and contribute to pricing strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain consistency in offerings and customer experience.
Monitor and optimize financial drivers such as costs, inventory, and receivables.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with pumps, seals, or seal support systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with inspection tools (e.g., dial calipers, micrometers).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to adapt to new software systems.
Self-starter with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Capable of advanced problem-solving and decision-making in technical environments.
Familiarity with basic project management methods and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Applications Engineer or in a similar role (e.g., Inside Sales Engineer).
Solid understanding of SAP and CRM tools.
Strong technical analysis and troubleshooting abilities.
BS Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience (3–5 years).
