Role Summary
We are seeking a Design Engineer focused on the design and development of triple offset butterfly valves. This role will contribute to Flowserve’s engineering excellence by supporting new product development, resolving production challenges, and ensuring the highest quality standards through validation and certification processes.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop triple offset butterfly valves in compliance with global standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions using A3 problem-solving methodologies.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Product Engineers during design reviews and integrate feedback from manufacturing.
Support product validation and certifications, including cryogenic, high-temperature, and fugitive emission testing.
Prepare and maintain assembly guidelines, lifting procedures, and testing procedures.
Review engineer-to-order (ETO) designs to ensure adherence to engineering standards and lessons learned.
Create, manage, and update technical documentation for PED, API 609, and other certifications, ensuring compliance and CE marking readiness.
Develop and review design layouts, part drawings, 3D models, and engineering calculations as required by customer orders.
Provide technical support to sales teams for RFQs and customer queries.
Work collaboratively with manufacturing, subcontractors, purchasing, and PED compliance teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (B.E.) or equivalent in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (D.M.E.) with at least 7 years of experience.
Proven hands-on experience in the design and analysis of triple offset butterfly valves.
Proficiency in 3D modeling and analysis interpretation.
Strong understanding of root cause analysis and ability to prepare assembly, testing, and safety procedures.
Working knowledge of key industry standards:
API 609, ASME B16.34, ASME B16.25, ASME B16.10, BS 6364, and ASTM basics.
