Field Service, Technical Assistant – Temporary 12 months

Job Summary

The Field Service Technical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting field service operations and contract execution. This position ensures accurate receipt, recording, and control of project information, while maintaining effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. The role involves preparing technical and administrative reports, managing project documentation, and contributing to the successful and timely delivery of field services with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate all phases of field service delivery, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and project objectives, including margin targets, cash flow, delivery schedules, and quality standards.

Track and report project progress to customers, ensuring timely and transparent communication across all stakeholders.

Coordinate internal and external project activities through established project management systems and tools.

Receive, verify, and record data and documentation related to field service activities and serviced equipment.

Prepare detailed technical and administrative reports summarizing field service work and equipment status.

Maintain regular communication with customers, providing updates on project milestones, timelines, and performance.

Ensure all activities adhere to Flowserve’s quality, safety, and operational standards.

Update internal systems with the latest information regarding service status and project progress.

Organize and maintain technical and logistical documentation associated with field service operations.

Collaborate with Flowserve’s support teams, including repair centers, customer service, and sales engineering, to drive project success.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support field service and departmental objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

Strong knowledge of industrial applications involving pumps, valves, seals, actuators, and other mechanical equipment.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and cross-sectional technical drawings.

Experience in preparing clear and accurate technical reports.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 1 year of project management experience.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with demonstrated teamwork skills across diverse environments.

Intermediate English proficiency (both written and spoken).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Basic understanding of equipment control systems and technical documentation processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in English and/or intermediate Spanish.

Professional certifications relevant to field service or engineering disciplines.
