Job Summary
The Machinist will set up and operate a range of machine tools to manufacture and repair precision components used in industrial equipment. This role involves working with detailed drawings, tight tolerances, and various materials to ensure the production of high-quality parts. The position also supports equipment maintenance and compliance activities while following established safety and operational standards. This is a 2nd shift position (Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:30 AM) and includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new hires.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools, performing routine machining activities with accuracy and consistency.
Follow established manufacturing procedures to complete daily operational tasks.
Assist in basic equipment maintenance and repair activities to support smooth shop operations.
Adhere to safety guidelines and standard work instructions to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure all work meets required quality standards and complies with internal and external regulations.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and share relevant information.
Understand and follow company policies and procedures with supervisory guidance.
Perform additional duties as needed to support the machining and production teams.
Requirements
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, geometric tolerances, and technical instructions.
Skilled in using precision measurement tools including micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
Minimum of 3 years of machining experience, preferably operating manual lathes, grinders, or CNC grinders in a production or repair environment.
High school diploma or GED required.
Basic programming experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
Clear verbal communication skills to convey information effectively.
Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage workload efficiently.
Basic understanding of safe working practices and ability to apply them on the job.
