Production Supervisor

Role Summary

The Production Supervisor will lead and oversee all activities within the Imperial QRC (Quick Response Center), focusing on valve disassembly, assembly, testing, safety, quality, and on-time delivery. This role requires a strong mechanical understanding of valve systems and the ability to ensure efficient, high-quality production while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day operations, develop team capabilities, and drive continuous improvement in alignment with Flowserve’s values and operational excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities
Safety, Quality, and Compliance

Champion a positive HSE culture to eliminate lost-time incidents and prevent workplace injuries.

Ensure compliance with Flowserve’s safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Supervise the disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of valves following approved engineering and quality protocols.

Maintain accurate documentation with clear root cause reporting for inspections and repair activities.

Production Planning and Execution

Plan, schedule, and allocate resources to complete work on time, within budget, and to Flowserve quality standards.

Manage daily workflow, capacity planning, and production priorities to maximize shop efficiency.

Oversee valve teardown and assembly during peak workloads, outages, and turnarounds.

Ensure all testing standards — including API 598, API 6D, SPP-4012 Hydrostatic, and high gas pressure tests — are met and fully documented.

Technical Leadership and Training

Train and mentor technicians in valve assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and instrumentation.

Lead by example in managing severe service valve applications.

Provide hands-on training for Logix and other digital positioners.

Collaborate with engineering and automation support teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.

Continuous Improvement and Performance

Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as utilization, efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Collaborate with inventory, purchasing, and engineering teams to eliminate workflow bottlenecks.

Identify and implement cost-reduction and process improvement opportunities.

Leadership and People Development

Coach, mentor, and develop team members while upholding Flowserve’s Values & Behaviors.

Manage timecards, attendance, and personnel scheduling.

Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, engagement, and teamwork.

Model strong communication and cross-department collaboration to ensure alignment and success.

Required Qualifications

Deep understanding of diagnostic and testing standards (ANSI, ASME, FCI 70-2).

Experience working with digital positioners (e.g., Logix, Fisher, Masoneilan, Samson).

Proven ability to coach and develop technical staff in a shop or repair environment.

Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applications.

Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and KPI tracking.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, accountable leadership style.

Preferred Experience and Skills

Experience implementing and maintaining safety and quality management systems.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

5–7 years of relevant supervisory experience in valve repair or manufacturing.

Familiarity with ERP or production planning systems.

Strong background in instrumentation and automation troubleshooting and configuration.
