Global water technology provider Ovarro has announced a broader deployment of its EnigmaREACH end-to-end leakage detection system across the United Kingdom, with multiple water companies now adopting the solution to meet ambitious water loss reduction targets under the current regulatory period.
EnigmaREACH is a fully integrated leakage detection platform that combines acoustic leak loggers, a mobile app, and cloud-based analytics to streamline every stage of the leak detection workflow — from planning and deployment to retrieval, automated data analysis, and field follow-up.
Ovarro’s latest strategic roll-out includes installations with established UK utilities — building on earlier deployments by Southern Water and Affinity Water — and represents the fifth major UK deployment of the technology. Field results show that the system consistently locates multiple leaks per technician per day, with up to 90 % pinpoint accuracy and significant operational efficiencies compared with traditional methods.
According to Ovarro’s global leakage solutions director, the repeat contracts underscore the value utilities are seeing in automated, data-driven leakage management. By replacing manual processes with an automated, managed service, water companies can cover more network area, detect more leaks, and support regulatory goals to reduce non-revenue water.
Launched in 2024, EnigmaREACH continues to gain traction not only in the UK but also across several international markets as operators pursue smarter, scalable solutions to water loss challenges.
