Paal Payasam

Ingredients 

  • 1 tablespoon Ghee (Clarified butter) 
  • five-6 Cashew nuts 
  • ¼ cup Short grain rice (I even have used sona masoori rice) 
  • 1 cup + 2 cups Milk 
  • ¼ cup Sugar

Instructions 

Heat the ghee in a stress cooker on medium heat. Once warm upload cashews and fry until golden brown. Drain extra ghee and take away it to a bowl and preserve it aside. In the final ghee, upload rice. Fry with stirring continuously for 2-three mins only. You’ll observe a moderate colour change. Now upload 1 cup of milk and mix. Cover the cooker with lid, placed the load on and prepare dinner dinner on medium for four-five whistles. Let the stress pass down via way of means of itself then open the lid. Check the rice, it must be smooth and cooked. Now upload final milk and flip the warmth returned on medium. Simmer for some other 10-12 mins or till the combination thickens and rice turns into greater softer. You can mash a few rice with the returned of the spatula to assist it thicken greater. Now upload sugar and simmer for three-four mins. It is ready. As it cools it’s going to thicken greater.
