EBARA Earns CDP Top Supplier Engagement Rating for Second Year – A Rating for Climate Action

For the second year running, EBARA Corporation has received the highest “A” rating in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) conducted by CDP, the international environmental nonprofit. This 2025 recognition follows the company’s first “A” rating in 2024, solidifying its position as a leader in climate action and supply chain sustainability.

An “A” rating distinguishes companies that actively collaborate with their suppliers on climate action—organizations expected to play a leading role in the transition to a sustainable, net-zero economy.

Building on Strong Environmental Performance

This recognition builds on EBARA’s strong showing in the 2025 CDP report, where the company earned an A- rating in both the Climate Change and Water Security categories. These disclosures formed the basis for its top rating in the SEA, which CDP conducts to encourage buyer companies to deepen engagement with their suppliers and accelerate greenhouse gas reductions across global supply chains.

Environmental Leadership at the Core

Environmental leadership is central to EBARA’s long-term vision, “E-Vision 2035,” in which “Strengthening Environmental Management” stands as one of five key material issues. Among its goals for 2028, the company has committed to maintaining a leadership-level rating (A or A-) in CDP’s Climate Change category.

Deliberate Supplier Engagement

EBARA’s supplier engagement efforts are equally deliberate and structured:

  • The company shares its CSR Procurement Guidelines with business partners and encourages them to pursue initiatives that reduce environmental impact.
  • Every three years, it surveys suppliers on CSR procurement and follows up with dialogue based on the findings.
  • These sustained efforts were instrumental in securing the consecutive “A” ratings.

Another of the five material issues identified in E-Vision 2035—“Contributing to the Creation of a Sustainable Society”—sets a complementary target: achieving a 75% compliance rate with CSR procurement requirements among key suppliers by 2028.

A Vision for Shared Growth

Through this close collaboration with its suppliers, EBARA aims to build partnerships grounded in mutual trust, fostering shared growth while working together to address pressing social issues and create a more sustainable society. The company’s commitment to supply chain sustainability demonstrates how industrial leaders can drive meaningful environmental action beyond their own operations.
