The Sulzer Academy Announces New Open Seminar: Pumps in Theory and Practice July 25 2023

Continuing its mission to educate and support wider industry, The Sulzer Academy has opened registration for its latest 2-day seminar: Pumps in Theory and Practice.

Taking place in German on July 25 2023 at 08:30 CEST at Sulzer’s Bruchsal and Mannheim facilities, the event will explore how operators can safely improve the reliability, profitability and availability of centrifugal pumps operating at their facilities. You can register for the event by contacting Christine Dörffel at christine.doerffel@sulzer.com.

The Sulzer Academy offers online and in-person training courses to educate employees in operations, service and workshop departments who work with centrifugal pumps and systems. Sulzer experts share global pump OEM knowledge through engaging sessions, empowering pump users to improve equipment uptime.

Pumps in Theory and Practice will cover key topics such as the hydraulic basics of centrifugal pumps, operation and maintenance principles, the causes of pump damage and how to avoid them as well as the basics of mechanical seals.

Pump theory on day 1 is supplemented with hands-on practical sessions using training pumps on day 2. Furthermore, participants can expect a full guided factory tour as part of the event.

In addition, The Sulzer Academy also offers bespoke training courses tailored to customer requirements. This enables attendees to learn about the specific pumps or systems they operate, further improving the effectiveness of equipment on-site.
