Victaulic will display its new Series 250 Butterfly Valve at elementalLONDON from November 19-20 2025. This marks the first European preview of the new valve which is set to redefine performance, efficiency, and longevity in domestic water, technical cooling, and HVAC systems.
The category-leading Series 250 Butterfly Valve is available in two configurations: the Series 250-SE with standard OGS groove profile and Series 250-ST with the StrengThinTM 100 groove profile. Engineered for exceptional performance, its innovative design features precise spherical profiling that ensures bubble-tight, bi-directional sealing, enhancing overall product quality and reliability.
“Building contractors and owners are seeking solutions that last for the entire life of their piping systems while also minimizing maintenance needs. That’s why we developed the Series 250 Butterfly Valve, which is designed to match the longevity of the piping system itself and features a significant reduction in weight whilst offering 11% greater flow efficiency compared to other valves in the market,” said Shaun Hughes, Regional Manager UK, Victaulic. “We are especially excited to introduce Victaulic’s first WRAS approved butterfly valve, which complements our StrengthinTM 100 thinwall stainless steel system. This innovation sets a new benchmark for commercial fluid control, and we look forward to its rollout across Europe in the coming months.”
Designed for future-proofed flexibility
The new valve can be easily operated and adapted to almost any installation due to its range of manual and mechanical control options. Its versatile actuation options – the ways it can be opened, closed, and controlled – provide unprecedented flexibility for use in a vast array of applications.
These include the ISO 5211 square drive stem and mounting pattern which eliminates the need for custom adaptors, the 10-position lever-lock handle which enables the valve to be locked in ten different positions, the gear operator which makes it easier to open and close valves regardless of size or torque, and the chain wheel gear operator which allows the valve to be opened at distance.
Reduced installation complexity
Victaulic’s grooved mechanical pipe-joining technology has long been recognised for its ability to simplify installation, reduce skilled labour requirements, and eliminate the need for welding. The Victaulic mechanical pipe joining method offers an alternative to welding as the ends of the pipes and valves are simply grooved and a coupling with gasket is fitted and fastened with two bolts. This process is easily learned and enables a broader construction workforce to perform installations.
Building on this legacy, the Victaulic Series 250 Butterfly Valve has been purpose-designed to make installation and maintenance even more straightforward. The grooved-end design allows for 360-degree positioning, enabling unprecedented ease of installation. The valve is also up to 50% lighter than competitive products making it easier to handle and position, particularly in overhead or harder to reach locations.
On show at elementalLONDON
